I'm watching CNN this morning, and I just saw the first Christmas ad of 2006. Apparently, QVC felt that it was necessary to remind us of the benefits of shopping early for Christmas gifts, and they want us to mark our calendars so that we won't miss their big Christmas shopping bonanza in November.
I hope it was just an error, but I'm skeptical. Bad enough that we have Christmas ads before Halloween, but before EASTER??? What's a Bunny gotta do to stay employed under all of this holiday pressure?

Darling, Unfortunatly, it probably wasn't an error, OVC's target audience are people like Pax who spend every waking hour glued to the the TV, eating Pork Rinds and increasing the comsumer debt.
I love Pax dearly but she lives in a Cubic Zirconia fart cloud, have you been to the Villa of late? it seems that he has three of everything sold on QVC in the last 10 years, you can't go out to the backyard to use the bathroom without tripping over the latest aqusition of "Joan Rivers Jewelry" or 40 "Veg-E-Matics". It's nearly destroyed his marriage and Whatshisname has wrote on numerous occasions about this, not even 28 interventions have helped, I fear that divorce is iminent if something is not done soon, to the point that QVC can be named as corospondent.
They're a clever operation and know their viewers well, the old expression of "Christmas in July" applies and seems to be their favorite motto. I just wish I knew what viod Pax was trying to fill, perhaps then we could help him and put an end to all this maddness.
Mags,
I am stocking up for my Arbor Day gifts and the Joan River's collection, as you will recall, is being held for you (as well as the Quaker Factory moo moos that we mistook for table cloths).
Dear Pax, you sweet thoughtfull boy, Kiss Kiss, I'm so glad I don't have to go to you for blood!
oh that is hilarious - I say we let the bunny and Santa duke it out, hee hee.
Miss Magnolia and Pax-
No need for me to comment, the two of you do a brilliant job on your own. I must admit to having done my share of chair shopping in my day, but that's another story...
Virginia Gal-
I found a video clip of Santa and the E Bunny fighting. I almost linked to it, but I liked this pic better.
I was in Jo Ann Fabric's today and they had Fourth of july decotations all about. Here I thought THAT was ludicrous.
I'm waiting for QVC's Christmas Sales in July. Watching people prance around in Santa garb with fake snow and reindeer when it's hot enough outside to convert my driveway to magma always puts me in festive mood.
Maidink-
Cool new look! You'll be running your department at work before you know it.
Christmas in July, I know... it's almost too much to bear. It must sell, though, or they wouldn't keep it up.
Personally, I've got enough junk to store without having to hang on to holiday gifts for 5 months. They'd probably disappear into my closet, and I wouldn't find them again until 2012.
