Question of the Week

If you knew the world was going to end before the next billing cycle, how would you max out your credit cards?

I think I'd go with tickets to Tibet, where I'd become an InstaBuddhist, and hope for a life cycle where I would come back in another world and invest in oil companies in 2005.

Or...I would like to have a spin around the block in a Lamborghini.

Probably darling, on a plot in a really good cemetary and prepetual care, one has to be practical.

I would pack a trunk of books I've always meant to read, grab my laptop, buy plane tickets and rent out a flat in London for a month. At this moment, it seems like perfection . . .

Love Random Kath's idea!

For me, I'd probably buy a first-class ticket to South Africa and finally tell the guy I like that I am still madly infatuated with him and see where it leads....hey the world is ending right?

Frank-
InstaBuddhist...That's intriguing! I'm conflicted on the oil thing; I'm human enough to want to retire rich, and I'm concerned enough about the environment to eschew oil investments. I'm probably in some without even realizing it, though...

My husband's instant reply when I asked him this question was that he would buy a hot car.

Miss Magnolia-
May I recommend Frank's InstaBuddhist philosophy? It would allow you to come back to check on the quality of the perpetual care.

RandomKath-
I'd have a hard time choosing amongst all of the places I've never been but REALLY want to see. I think Tuscany or Provence might win out.

Virginia Gal-
You know, they say we should live every day like it's our last...

Merci (I'm smiling and laughing here), are you suggesting that I get over my overwhelming fear and paralysis just at the though and tell him of my feelings - I sweat just thinking about it : )

Virginia Gal-
Well, maybe! But since the world is not ending for real, you'd have to be ready to live with the consequences, for good or for ill!

Hope you're still looking at other possibilities, as well. The right someone else could wipe him from your memory.

I DO know how you feel. I have felt that way a few times in my life. Not with my husband, though. I felt assured with him right from the start.
